Food Driver Results!

Our League stepped up to the plate again for the Salvation Army Food bank in its 5th annual Tournament Food Drive.

This year all 18 teams taking part in the season-ending tournament brought items to donate and as a result the baseball league successfully raised a total of 8808 individually wrapped items (3100 more items that last year) for the Salvation Army. Items ranged from canned goods, toothpaste, soap and cleaning supplies to children's snacks, diapers and baby food. The reward for participating was simple…The team with the highest count at the end of the weekend will be given the honor of eating first at the leagues year-end banquet.

A representive of the Salvation Army shared that "The Bramslammers food drive has come to be the largest privatly run/ non corporate food drive for the local food bank year to date" and it couldn't come at a better time as the shelves at the food bank are close to being empty.

Great job Bramslammers..!!!
